Kendriya Vidyalaya (in Hindi : केन्द्रीय विद्यालय) is a system of central government schools under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The system came into being in 1962 under the name "Central Schools" and has been affiliated with CBSE since then. Later, the name was changed to Kendriya Vidyalaya.

Kendriya Vidyalaya, Godda was established in 2007. School was inaugurated by Sri M.A.A. Fatmi, Hon’ble Minister of State HRD, Govt. of India on 26.03.2007. Vidyalaya is running in newly constructed building wef 23.10.2018. It is located 2 Km away from central Bus Stand of Godda. Having spacious classrooms, big library with good books, well equipped computer lab, a leveled playground surrounded by high boundary walls. It has the classes from I to XII in 1 sections in each.Class XI and XII has Science stream only
