Tarapore School started in Agrico in the year 2004, with the need to provide quality education to the eastern part of the city. This school was out-sourced by Tata Steel, being run by the Narbod Educational Foundation and is permanently affiliated to the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations.
Tarapore School provides an English medium education to students studying from L.Kg. to Std. XII, under the aegis of the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi. The school has been accredited with the International School Award from 2016 to 2019. There are 2090 students in the entire school divided into 5 levels The Pre-primary level comprises 8 sections of 42 students each studying in L.Kg. and H.Kg. The Primary level comprises 20 sections of around 42 students each, studying in Stds. I to V. The Senior Primary level comprises 11 sections of around 42 students each, studying in Stds. VI to VIII. The Secondary level comprises 6 sections of around 42 students each, studying in Stds. IX and X, being prepared for the ICSE examination at the end of Std. X. The Higher Secondary level comprises 4 sections of around 40 students each, studying in Stds. XI and XII, being prepared for the ISC examination at the end of Std. XII. The school follows the new curriculum prescribed by the CISCE board.
