Overview:

The School was established in the year 1968 by the Punjabi Hindu Biradari, Ranchi, in the cherished memory of Lala Lajpat Rai, the great freedom fighter and builder of modern India. Primary section is comtinuing at its original place at overbridge and for the Senior Secondary Section, a new, huge, double storied building has been constructed at Pundag, with all the modern facilities. Classes from Pre-Nursery to Std. XII are run here. The Adjacent building has vast open grounds and the atmosphere in and around the building is pollution free, calm and congenial for higher studies.

The Punjabi Hindu Biradari feels proud of its members who have donated huge amounts of money and extended their unflinching support and co-operation in the construction of the old as well as the new school buildings.

The School provides a congenial environment for the all round development of the budding students and their integration with society, particularly in reference to the indian context. Positive ideas are instilled in the uniform, cleanliness of surroundings, graceful manner, obedience and discipline. To achieve high academic standards, personal attention is given to each individual student. A team of highly motivated and dedicated teachers, plays an impotant role in shaping the career of the children. Learnings is joyful here, as teachers make their lessons very interesting by following various methods of teaching, viz. Demonstration, Experimentation, Project work, Home Assignment, Structure Method, etc. The primary section with spacious campus, is well equipped with latest teaching aids, educational toys and musical instruments to teach the tiny tots through play-way methods.

The school follows an all round curriculum, which aims to complete all round development of every faculty. In view of the importance of computers and the It revolution, Computer classes have also been introduced on complusory basis from class III onwards. The school has a well stocked library and well equipped science laboratories. Medium of instruction is English but equal emphasis is laid on the study and proficiency in both Hindi and English.
