Kendriya Vidyalaya (in Hindi : केन्द्रीय विद्यालय) is a system of central government schools under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The system came into being in 1962 under the name "Central Schools" and has been affiliated with CBSE since then. Later, the name was changed to Kendriya Vidyalaya.

Kendriya Vidyalaya, Bokaro Thermal was established in on 25.08.1986, in Bokaro Thermal, Jharkhand. Covering large area. It has its own pucca grand building having spacious classrooms, big library of good books, well equipped computer labs , a leveled playground surrounded by high boundary walls from all sides to provide a safe and suitable environment for all round development of child's personality.

Every year a good number of students of this Vidyalaya compete in the entrance exam of high profile. It is a co-educational institution from I to XII.
